Creating an Audience in Youtube
Learning how to create value is the essence of being an influencer. It’s the trust bond that you create, which gives you the power and the presence that you want.
Tip 1
“ Follow the trend or be the trend”. In my days of research I have come to the conclusion many influencers blow up or peak by either following a trend or being a trendsetter. Exhibit A, when Ryan Higa started the “roast yourself challenge” he gained so much views and became known for being the trendsetter for that month, so naturally he gained so much views, subscribers, and interaction within his video and his whole account. Influencers such as MyLifeAsEva, Niki&Gabi, Meredith, laurenDIY were able to jump in the trend by being tagged by each other(following the trend) and they were able to gained MILLIONS OF VIEWS! Meaning if you want to get the views you need to either make a trend or follow it while its peaking.
Tip 2
Create videos circulating relevant topics. By using Google Trends you’re able to compare relevant topics and see when their most popular, so you can create videos at the right timings for your videos to peak.
As you can see from the graph above I used two key terms, and you can tell usually finance terms are searched more often in this period of time rather than “Do it yourself” content. With Google Trends you have the variety to choose your topics, period of time, country, and much more to help your videos stay more relevant and of value in a certain period of time.
Tip 3
“The power of plugging in your work in the right time”. Whenever your video circles around a topic you’ve talked about make sure to plugin the video through the “i” icon above, a link in the comment below, and at the end of your video. Youtube videos can still earn you income even though it’s been months since it was uploaded, and as long as its gaining views and earning a higher watch rate you can still profit from it.
After filming your videos make sure you watch it again, because doing so you’ll be able to see when you start to drift off and you can later on re-film or add an interesting part to it.
